It's been two weeks since we left Sun City Center. The time has passed quickly and we continue to enjoy our trip. Today was our final day at the canyon. We concentrated on the eastern section which we had not seen. The length of the south rim of the canyon open to the public is approximately 40 miles, out of the 277 miles of canyon. We have walked or driven from one end to the other of the 40 miles. Just as was the case in Sedona, one view seemed more majestic than the previous one. Bill has taken 125-150 pictures!
Today was very windy at times, with winds gusting to 40 MPH. You had to be very careful not to have something blow away, such as hats or glasses as well as yourself! Many areas of viewing have no fencing or other means to hold you back from the edge. Even our car rocked at times. Eleanor took in the views well back from danger.
